First and foremost http://www.assenna.com must be greatly thanked for providing a platform for Eritreans to express their views and nostalgia for a FREE INDEPENDENT ERITREA that was never achieved for seemingly time immemorial.
Discussion
To repeat the above line, Eritrea did not enjoy independent freedom for many years. Consequently, we tend to express our nostalgia for certain foreign colonialist who were masters of Eritrea with all the biological and institutional phenomenon that colonizers left behind. In a crude short term for example : Italy had left etched marks in many socio/economic aspect.
In any case, after many decades under colonial powers, Eritrea is now considered as full fledged ITSELF, having an indigenous DICTATOR (born and raised in Eritrea) leading it to disintegration as he promised in a moment of frankness with a comrade in an atmosphere of alcoholic beverage. THAT IS WHERE WE ARE NOW in 2020 , having no clue where we are dragged into. That is why we minimize our suffering , “insulting” each other on the Internet. It is universal sociological truth that ONLY a helpless person revert to that mode of existing —-nagging at each other. .
We also have another past time occupation: WRITING — just like I am doing right now with my friend the portable “computer” which is ‘kind’ enough to be available for me at any place, at any mood, and clicking at any spot in the world. Fantastic! What will I do if I didn’t have genius people who invent such things and many more. I am helpless consumer. I LOVE and LUCKY BEING IN a “FOREIGN” COUNTRY where my human bering existence has a MEANING. As to the unfortunate people of my ancestors and existing families I bleed my heart out for their suffering under the guidance of a SINGLE DEVIL DICTATOR. To poke the wound farther, Eritrea is an Honourable Free Country Member of the top most respectable institution named UN for its very attractive venue of XYZ .
By the way, when was the LAST time that Eritrea was a >>> LIBERATED>>> FREE>>> INDEPENDENT >>> SELF-GOVERNED COUNTRY I.e. before Issayas Afewerki Abraha Miratch of Tigrai, born and educated In Eritrea, decided to bury Eritrea under his feet (so to say).
