Wedi Hager: The issue is not whether or not there are problems in our country. Obviously there are many. On that, I am on your side. The question however is: Do you rely on treacherous woyane to solve Eritrean problems as the some simpleton-collaborators have been clamoring, or do you do it on your own? Any way, thanks to the Mighty EPLFs, the issue of woyane is mute now, and the diaspora-woyane-orphans can scream and wail day and night on the streets of Western countries but of course in vain because what is dead cannot rise up again.

Hi Wedi Hager: I think we agree on many points with regard to problems in Eritrea and that Ethiopians should settle their differences without any external forces. Unfortunately, we seem to differ on the vicious plots the now pulverized woyane had devised against the people of Eritrea and their sovereignty as attested, among others, by the following evidences:1. its continued occupation of Badme for more than a decade in utter disregard of the EEBC Final And Binding decision for which it had agreed and signed before the world community. 2. it prevented the Ethiopian military from vacating Badme after the Ethiopia Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, signed peace with Eritrea and ordered Ethiopian military to leave Badme. 3. Just before it was dealt with the final blow, it was set to invade Eritrea,veiling itself with its Eritrean Trojan Horses, such as Mesfin Hagos. Thanks to the Eritrean Armed Forces preemptive strike, woyane now is history; it will never rise again. To those who blabber that woyane will rise again, I tell them, Kab Tseba Zeyterkbe’s Kab Macheba. It is all vain wishful thinking!!!!

Wedi Hager : I think we have substantial difference because you are exonerating the criminal, woyane, and blaming its victims, the people of Eritrea. I could not agree more on the need to focus on economic and social healing for our people/country. If you come to think of it, we have only been truly independent & peaceful nation for less than a year. Go back to 1991 through 1997, we were forced to use Ethiopian Birr so we could not control our own destiny. As soon as we got our own currency, the TPLF criminal gangs, at the behest of their western masters, launched a naked aggression under the disguise of nonexistent border dispute followed by crippling sanctions when their military adventures failed. When Dr. Abiy came to power in 2018, the TPLF criminal gangs still managed to keep the dark cloud of terrorism and refusing to abide by the border commission decision and hand over Badme and other territories to Eritrea. With the demise of the TPLF criminal enterprise, the rays of hope, peace, mutual respect, and cooperation are shining brighter throughout the HOA.
However,  I do sympathize with your concern around the social media chatter concerning our sovereignty & ideas of federation or confederation with the very country that enslaved us. Believe none of it, it is meant as a distraction to drive a wedge between the peaceful people of Eritrea and Ethiopia. There are some elements of the Ethiopian elite who cannot accept Eritrea’s independence and their infatuation with our red sea but those are the defeated elements and all I ask you is to judge our government on its actions rather than the social media gymnastics by our detractors. These defeated elements of the Ethiopian elite are primarily who benefited immensely from the ruthless regimes of HaileSelassie, Dergue and TPLF. All those regimes are in the trash bins of history at the hands of our brilliant & visionary leadership and above all our people (inside and outside Eritrea).

I can fire away the transformation of nations, innovations, technological advances, medical breakthroughs,… look at our nation 30yrs under HGDEF>> Salim and your brilliant & visionary leadership, what do you see? a business hub capital of the horn with impressive skyline which boasts a skilled workforce poised to propel the country to another dimension, a cohesive and harmonious society regardless of its religious belief and ethnicity, a constitutional democracy dressed in our traditional attire…is that what you see in our homeland today? If so, you are suffering from macular degeneration which is common ailment in the party’s nucleus age group.
W.H. beauty is in the eye of the beholder and HGDEF have a distorted way of interpreting that beauty.

k.tweolde , if you go by shallow metrics like those in Tigray – high rise buildings that were built using looted money from poor Ethiopians, the answer is NOTHING. If you care to focus on foundational capability like human capacity & infrastructure in critical fields – Mining, agriculture, education, healthcare, construction , defense & national security.. we have made tremendous progress in the face of 29 years of adversity from TPLF and their western slave masters.  

Having said this,  I totally understand why you & few other Eritrean “opposition” groups fail to see such progress given your self-imposed preclusion of your ability to visit your country & people. I pray to god/Allah to give you and others the wisdom to come out of this hibernation/delusion and ask for reconciliation and forgiveness from your people & country.

Ay Salim, either you have to be dyslexic or the typical misconstruing HGDEF emissary which you are, even your idol himself admitted he is a failure in every endeavor, I wish I can furnish a video clip of his interview in this dialogue box. It’s people like you who defend him regardless, who he calls ‘lahasti shahani’ or scoffs,’why are you clapping before I finish my sentence..’>>> My metrics is based on the concrete reality on the ground, the overall health of our homeland despite the deep purple bruises of the 30 yrs liberation war it was much robust then than this emaciated with marasmus current one 30yrs later. Let me give you an ex., recently a veteran EPLF fighter cousin of mine goes to the ‘premier health facility’ in Asmara with a debilitating headache and was sent home with aspirin, an hour later she goes into status epilepticus at home and dies .. excuse was, the only scanner available was out of commission. I hope that answers your argument on your ‘foundational capability’ dear Salim Negash, next time at least spell my name correctly for crying out loud.

k.tewolde , my apologies for the mis-spelling.  You don’t need to get me video clip of our president’s interview and you are totally taking him out of context. In his interview, he was responding to a question re: COVID related closures in the big cities and he mentioned something to the effect there isn’t much economic output/progress pertaining to those that remain closed such as bike shops , bars & restaurants etc… If you go back and listen to the COVID task force’s directives –  key national development  sectors of the economy were never shut down. Things like agriculture, mining, construction etc… remained open including inter-zone transportation pertaining to those fields. As for your example around your  recently martyred  relative, first of all my condolences and may her soul rest in peace.  However, you can’t use these types of isolated (hearsay mind you) incidents to paint with broad brush & dismiss the obvious. Every rural area now has health care facility with in 10KM radius.  Mother and child mortality rate has gone down by more than 90% (Source : UNDP).  I can go on and on…

Yes you can go on and on, so did the defense in George Floyd’s case, it is like selling sand to the Bedouins. Salim if you are a true Muslim, I urge you to pray for those young ones who are being slaughtered in Tigray which is a grim indicator of the mortality rate of the little nation or its shortened life expectancy, because your ‘president’ looks and acts younger than his age doesn’t mean the rest of the people he subjugates enjoy the same status, notice most of his peers are dead, dying or wasting away in underground dungeons throughout our homeland. እድሪስ ደበ ፥ ኣብ መጨረሻ 80ታት ፥ ንሱዳን ሃዲሙ ነቲ ኣረመናዊ ስርዓት ሑሰን ሃብረ ክቅይር ተቃሊሱ ድሕሪ ምእላዩ ግን ፥ ጌጋታቱ እዩ ደጊሙ ።
ቅድሚ ዓመታት ፥ ገለ ቀረባ ኣዝማዱ ከይተረፉ ዝተጸንበሩዎ ብረታዊ ተቃዉሞ ፥ ኣብ እንጃመና ፥ ኣብ ግቢ ድሕሪ ምብጾሖም ፥ በታ ባህሪያዊ ሃብቲ እታ ሃገር ትምዝምዝ ዘላ ፈረንሳይ ብኣየር ተደብዲቦም ፥ ቡዙሕ ሰብኣዊ ክሳራ ወሪዱዎም ኣብቲ ዝነበሩዎ በረኻታት ዳርፉር ተመሊሶም።

ኣብ ዝሓለፉ ቁሩብ ዓመታት ፥ “ቦኮሓራም መጺኦምኻ” ክተት ክብል እዩ ዝስማዕ ነይሩ ።
ኣብ ትሕቲ ሳሓራ ዝርከባ ሃገራት ፥ ምስ በተሰቡ ኣብ ስልጣን ዘሎ ዉልቀ-መላኺ ፥ ነቶም ዝቃወሙዎ ፥ ድንቁርኖኦምን ድኽመታቶም ብምምዝማዝ ፥ ብሃይማኖታዊ ጥሩፍነት ብምኽሳስ ፥ ሓገዝ ካብ ደገ ዝረኽበሉ ሜላ ክጥቀም ጸገም የብሉን ። እዚ ነቲ ጎነጽ ካብ ፖሊቲካዊ ዓንከል ኣብ ሃይማኖታዊ ከም ዝሰጋገር ይገብሮ።
ሎሚ ኣይ ከም ትማሊ ፥ እታ ንኽንዳይ ኑጹሓት ዘጥፈአት ውግእ ንዑኡ ረኺባቶ።
ንውልቀ መለኽቲ’ውን ማዓልቲ ኣላቶም ።
