There is NOTHING new in the above dictatorial day-in and day-out cautious, skeptical, frightening hell EXISTENCE [NOT LIFE} with DICTATORS. They can’t live without such existence. It is their nature. And Issyas is not an exception. If ERITREANS do not like him, then get rid of him!!! It is as simple as that!!!!!!! But then, as the “thoughtful” mouse said who is going to hang the bell around the CAT. But, let me be fair, we are a little bit better than the mice: The question should then be: ‘how do we eliminate our internal differences and get together as ONE unit for ONE aim and result as we did it for the liberation of Eritrea. The first time we did it was simple and cozy until Issayas came around and divided it into two [ ELF and EPLF with just one alphabet “p” difference, which is common to both anyway!!!!!!]. We NEVER had Life since then. If I may digress for a second: ‘IT HAS ALWAS BEEN OUR LIFE’ Am I wrong? .
In any case, we — each of us — are actually very busy; for example: clicking the alphabets on the internet — as I am doing now with tranquillity, far, far, far away from Issayas. As the saying goes: I MADE IT !!! Please don’t blame me if I happen to like tranquility — as best as I can — that the Almighty GOD, UP in HEAVEN, in His WIsdom and GENEROSITY granted me, freely!!!!!!!
NOW, HONESTLY & SERIOUSLY, THANK YOU, http://WWW.ASSENNA.COM. Please permit me repeating what I suggested openly, a long time ago, that YOU [assenna.com] be the FOCAL POINT for the initiation of ONE ,and ONLY ONE, GROUP of maximum eighteen (18) members, as a replacement for the ridiculous arrangements of 80 – 90 EXISTING GROUPS around the world — for ONE AIM!!!!! . It is just absurd. It may even be a reflection of OUR unpreparedness to be SERIOUS in getting our ONE, and ONLY ONE, FREE, DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY. Without a serious arrangement, Eritrea is doomed to be perpetual land mass of rich natural wealth for the benefit of OTHERS, while WE ERITREANS keep on being busy exactly the same as we come to know for the last one hundred and forty (140 ) years. Is it an exaggeration? YES >>> but ONLY TO SELF-APPOINTED SOCIETY TO HAVE A PERPETUAL STRUGGLE WITH ITSELF by ITSELF for ITSELF. What a CLASSICAL TRAGEDY?!?!?!?!? Or, “mergem” if one wishes to have a language out of so many. internal local languages

It depends on which channel you watching the game if it a game at all you diehard fan, do you know who you rooting for this time around? your grandkids are being used as human shields in the battlefield, you dig?
I was out of town and started getting frequent texts and calls and all I heard was the “war in Ethiopia and the evil man in Eritrea”. These messages are from several friends and family members. Ethiopians, Tigraians Eritrans, Foreigners. For a moment, I would stop and try to make sense but I could not focus since I have a life and work to deal with and wanted to let the winds of war play. In my head, I started thinking this is back! Meaning war, revenge, death, refugee, hate, breakups….and also back in a sense that people in Eritrea love war (sorry my people but this is very true of Eritreans and warmongering is key to create sense of purpose in the Eritrean communities). Every text and call I had the last 3 weeks a chance to response and made my stand clear from the get go. And here is how it went. Okay friend(s) let me make my posistion clear before going over the cliff or shooting to the moon. The people texting me or calling me on the other end of the phone would pause and wanted to hear my side or position. I could sense they are anticipating to throw hateful and revengeful words and statements. But not and instead it goes like this – my side and part has no position on this meaningless civil war in Ethiopia. Not a single Eritrean life is at risk and no one is coming to Eritrea to fight or kill so I have no position. Further, adding making it clear that, if I would, I would personally take out the man in Eritrea. At this time if anyone of these friends on text or phone had said or would shout or use the typical names we Eritreans use to dehumanize others “amhara and other strange names or agamae (might have misspelled) and other strange names” they would know that would/could be the last time they would have any access to me or my friendship.
By this time, the phone call and text I was getting comes down to a neutral position due to my position stated above, then and only then a real conversations begins. I grew up being told of many war stories and got invested in it. War literally ate up my time and my precious time my parents could have given to me and my siblings. Lost several family members and some still full of scars and at the end, well, the game is still the same. Game of hurt, hate, deeply embedded animosity, a dictator full of hate deep inside his heart and head. You see there is no winners in war. But I cold give you scores of losers surely. Getting back to my conversation again with people that have been reaching out to me. The Amharic speaking speak of the times of Tigraian in power; the Tigrains speak of the Amhara time in power; my beloved Eritreans, of course, speak of both liberation days and the war of 1998; the Oromo speak their own grievances as well. The best way to further neutralize and person coming to you with fire in this case is as follows. Using scriptural lesson:“Whydo you look at thespeckinyourbrother’seye, butfailto noticethe beaminyour owneye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while there is still a beam in your own eye?”
Each section of Ethiopia did its evil deeds at the other and no one should cover the old wounds and just work on the new once. This brings all these people to a point that I am no pushover and have done my own work and analysis. To my surpprise, not sure if they are truly convinced, but they are back to earth. Meaning they now see that Eritreans should not and do not need to take position. If anything, work for peace. This civil war will not be simply gone and back to singing kumbaya. Ethiopia as we know knew it will be hard to stay intact going forward. The other point I like to make is that many nations when there is civil war on their border they become host to refuge. Eritrea chose to pour gasoline in to the war and has its hands all over. It will not be forgotten. The time for the Mr Aforki to be gone is not long. The vacuum is building up. There is no real man in Eritrea to run and show up to lead. The Ormo’s will not sleep and rest. They are a force to deal with and rightly so.
What is needed from Eritreas – keep your hands to yourself and if you know of pain and have had pain stay calm and remember those days of pain that has stolen the joy and family in our lives. That very same thing, breaking up of family and children, is what is happening to people in Ethiopia and Tigrai. To the Tigrain people – regarding the demarcation, it is a final and binding and this case is your making under your watch. You signed off the deal and you should abide by it. Your own stubbornness has no legal ground. Let that, demarcation case, go and perhaps you could hold to other grievances if you have one. To The Amharic speaking folks, you play your cards as always as game of chess but it is risky and you risk the breaking up of a nation since things are different now. This is post colonial and neocolonialism area and need to find a workable solutions.
What I wanted to stress here is to many Eritreans. Flush out your hate and warmongering. Hate will take a bit of your life day in and day out. If hate and war is the only glue to keep Eritreans to be as one then we all need a therapeutic solution and leave those of us seek peace, justice, and fair play.
Once sharp politician once said on how to approach opposing sides ” Pray, negotiate, and prepare for a fight”. Else if you break it then you own it. That is what the federal government in Ethiopia will do. This, civil war, will be back soon.

I did not quite understand your message but I think I get your point right up at the start. Sorry I am short on being more tooled with the lingo. So by the premise you have placed, Karma will also be awaiting to the Eritrea down the road?
We tend to be a bit forgetful on how we treated the friends or foes on the south side. Some still do use deregatory terms to express when speaking of the friend or foes on the south. The fact is , we have to let go at some point in life the hate and work on healing. Did we not let go of the 30 years of stories of war and horrors against Eritreans? Then, we also let go, as painful as it was the 2 years of agony and war during 1998. By the way the making of the man in Eritrea by all accounts. In the two years war of 1998 the whole Ethiopia fought against Eritrea regardless of who was in power. The same during 30 years of liberation – every fabric of Ethiopia fought with no mercy against small Eritrea. Parents and us all suffered. The same goes at any time. War does not pick a single race or village. It does a whole lot of damage. note -The thousands of Eritrean refugee sheltering in the Southern friends or foes could be used as a “making up”. Well, they say politics is rough and all we know, as a fact, is that war has no winners.
Dear Mike
My point is that at the time when the Weyanes are fighting for their own survival, Iseyas may be looking for yet another enemy to avoid demarcating the border. He may even create a problem with Dr. Abiy.
In a nutshell, he is running short of enemies.
