I have no doubt the victorious Ethiopian Federal Army will in any way put the Eritrean Refugee in harm way. However,now that woyane is pulverized at the age of 46 and the Prime Minster of Ethiopia had already accepted the EEBC decision to demarcate the Eritrea -Ethiopia border, Isaias afewerk has no excuse any more not to put Eritrea on the process of democratization, and he must immediately negotiate with the United Nations for the voluntary return of the refugees languishing in Tigray back to their homeland.
It is sad it boiled down to this, hundredth of thousands dead and displaced, billions in property damages, 2 generations lost, a place that looks like I left it decades ago in many places and in some regressed decades more, a vicious cycle of violence among people who look like tewelde gebremariam who claim victory one over the other in their impeccable political punditry, I am still waiting for that Sing-a- poor, the reality on the ground don’t lie, one retreats to the foxholes and the other retains the palace playing musical chairs at the expense of the poor people, you don’t saw kirdad and expect to harvest taff, garbage in garbage out, the poor people are in desperate need of dedicated, transparent, bold, honest, wise and capable leaders who care about them which is a commodity remotely absent for sometime. Like the country song goes ‘JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL’ this Christmas season, it looks like that time many moons ago when the stars from around the world got together and belted out ..’ DO THEY KNOW THAT IT IS CHRISMAS TIME AT ALL…FEED THE WORLD!’. As long as the pickle heads are at the helm my heart goes out to the downtrodden. Happy holidays you all.
